Arthur W. Morgan, Jr., 69, died at home in Stoughton on Thursday, January 19 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Tallulah (Andrews) Morgan. Born in Boston, he was educated in Boston schools and attended Boston University. He has resided in Stoughton for 30 years. Mr. Morgan was an U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Morgan was a Boston Police Officer for 36 years, the last 8 years as Deputy Superintendent, before retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Reading and the Boston Police Patrolmen's Assn. In his free time he enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Morgan is survived by his daughters, Petri D. Turner and Kimberly A. Santos Silva both of Brockton and Kirsten F. Morgan of Stoughton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donnelly R. Morgan.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 25 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
