Arthur T. Harrigan, 84, died Saturday, September 30 at the Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Silva) Harrigan. He was born in Boston and graduated from Dedham Schools. He was a resident of Dedham for many years before moving to East Bridgewater where he has resided for the last 20 years. Arthur was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Harrigan was a tool and die maker for several area machine shops in Massachusetts as well as Florida. He was a member of the Healy Post, American Legion in Norton. Mr. Harrigan enjoyed playing pool and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his children, Mary L. Wood of East Bridgewater, William J. Harrigan and John F. Harrigan both of Florida. He was the brother of Wilfred Harrigan of Marston Mills, Cora Largesse of Mansfield, Pauline Lanier of NH, Mildred Farnell of FL, Bernise Grey of VA, Hildegard Frattasio of Pembroke and the late John Harrigan. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, October 4 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Donations in Arthur's name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA.
