Arthur S. Crogan, 88, a longtime resident of Brockton, died peacefully at the VA Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Davis) Crogan. Born in Boston, he was educated in Dorchester schools. He was a resident of Brockton for over 25 years after living in Stoughton for 25 years. Arthur was a Seaman 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of World War II. He was a correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 33 years before retiring in 1980. He was also a Permanent Temporary Stoughton Police Officer for 20 years. Mr. Crogan was a member of the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts.

Arthur was the father of Shane Crogan of Vienna, ME, Neal Crogan of Mashpee and the late Glen Crogan. He was the brother of the late Richard and Thomas Crogan and Mildred Delfino. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, his companion Peggy Magliozzi and her family of New Hampshire and his dear friends, Stephanie and Bob Landry of Hull and Mary Ellen Singlais of Florida.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Arthur's memory may be made to the New England Sinai Hospital, 150 York St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
