Armand P. "Monty" Andrews, 86, a longtime resident of West Bridgewater, died peacefully at Brockton Hospital on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was the husband of the late Florence M. "Bebe" (Frietas) Andrews. Son of the late John and Beatrice Andrade, he was born in Garden City Park, NY and raised in Stoughton, where he resided until moving to West Bridgewater 16 years ago. Monty was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner of Stoughton Shell and then Stoughton Mobil for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. He then worked part time for his son at Canton Auto Clinic for 20 years. Monty was a member of the AMVETS and Sons of Italy both in Stoughton. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing and traveling.
Monty was the father of Daniel J. Andrews and his wife Kathy of Stoughton, Bonnie Lynn Marshall and her husband Robby of Berkley and the late Scott A. Andrews and Michael A. Andrews. He was the grandfather of Michele Whitman, Dana Andrews and Laura O'Connell and the great-grandfather of Brandon and Tori Whitman, Jameson and Giuliana Andrews and Aubrey and Jack O'Connell. He was the brother of Virgil Andrews of Easton. He is also survived by his niece, Dolores Audlee and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Monday, February 19 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Monty's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
