Antonio Maria Vieira

Antonio Maria Vieira, 73, a longtime resident of Worcester, died peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was the husband of Maria Jose (Gouveia) Vieira and the late Margarida (Stone) Vieira. Son of the late Francisco and Victoria (Freitas) Vieira, he was born in Flores, Azores, Portugal and raised in Flores and Faial, Azores. Tony was a resident of Stoughton for 15 years before moving to Worcester over 30 years ago. He worked for both Digital and EMC for many years and enjoyed traveling.

Tony was the father of Pedro Stone Vieira and his wife Anabela Borba of Terceira, Azores and the late Ricardo Stone Vieira. He was the grandfather of Leticia and Andre. He was the brother of Jose Vieira and Nuno A. Vieira both of Brockton, Sister Maria Bernadette Vieira of Porto, Portugal and Maria Jose Silva of Flores, Portugal and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Saturday, December 30 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-7 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
