Antonio R. Silveira

Antonio R. Silveira, 91, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Monday, August 30 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of 67 years of the late Maria J. Silveira. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, Mr. Silveira immigrated to Stoughton in 1970. He worked at Cumberland Farms for 2 years then Ark-Les Switch in Stoughton for 10 years before retiring at age 62. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society in Fajanzinha, Flores.
Mr. Silveira is survived by his children, Maria E. Baldes and her husband Norberto and Maria Freitas and her husband Antonio all of Stoughton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lucy Murphy, Nancy Reynolds and Susan Guidaboni and his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Elizabeth Murphy and Anthony Reynolds. He was the brother of Francisco Silveira of CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, September 3 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
