Antonio L. Ladeira, 81, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, October 19, 2018. He was the husband of Maria D. (DeAndrade) Ladeira for 51 years. Son of the late Joao and Maria (De Coito Pita) Ladeira, he was born and raised in Madeira, Portugal. Antonio was a machinist at Plymouth Rubber in Canton for 15 years before retiring at age 65.
In addition to his wife, Antonio is survived by his daughters, Maria A. Crowther of Stoughton and her late husband Todd, Teresa A. Kinniery and her husband Christopher of Taunton and Rose L. Jardim and her husband Michael of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Sean Crowther, Michael Jardim and Jake Jardim. He was the brother of Jose of Curaçao, Francisco of Venezuela and the late Juan, Sister Maria Justina, Maria Isabel, Luis, Maria Matilde and Josefina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, October 25 from 9-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
