Antonio Frontino, 102, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home after a period of failing health. He was the Loving Husband of 66 years to the late Vittoria (Boccaccio) Frontino. Born and raised in S. Ferdinando di Puglia, Italy, Antonio was a Veteran of the Italian Army and served in Africa during WWII. Antonio and his family moved to the United States in 1961. He was a resident of Canton for the past 30 years, previously living in Stoughton for over 15 years. He worked as a furniture frame maker for the Lounge Company in South Boston for many years and then with his son at Custom Interiors by Frontino in Stoughton. He retired several years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his family, Vincenzo Frontino of Middleboro, Carmina DiLollo of Canton, Domenico Frontino of Stoughton and Michael Frontino of Mashpee. He was the brother of the late Ralph and Salvatore Frontino, Maria Falco, Anna Lombardo and Angela LaManuzzi. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
