Antoinette Edna (DiGiacomo) Hern

Antoinette Edna (DiGiacomo) Hern, 99, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Brockton Hospital on Friday, February 8. She was the loving wife of the late Herbert E. Hern. Born in Dedham, she was a resident of Stoughton for over 75 years. Antoinette was the daughter of Angelina DiUnci and Ettore DiGiacomo of Rome, Italy. Mrs. Hern was a devoted homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Stoughton Women's Club and a longtime volunteer at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. She was a voracious reader and avid Yankees fan, who enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and dining out. She was the mother of five children and the sister of the late Eugenia Gitto and the aunt of Louis Gitto of Stoughton. She loved spending time with the lights of her life, Alicia Calef and Joseph Bottini as well as Beverly Bottini and husband Jack and Herbert Hern and wife Sandy. Antoinette lived her life to the fullest and left lasting memories behind with those who loved her.
