Anthony E. Polillio, 92, died peacefully Saturday April 3, at his home in Stoughton surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Constance D. (Basler) Polillio. Born and educated in Stoughton, he was the co-owner of Polillio Brothers Inc. in Stoughton and retired in 1978. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a military police officer in the South Pacific. Anthony enjoyed race horses, antique cars and especially cooking for his family and friends. He enjoyed most spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Anthony Polillio Jr., and his wife Phyllis of Stoughton, Sandra Noe and her husband Frank of Stoughton, George Polillio of Stoughton, Daniel Polillio and his wife Donna of Stoughton, Raymond Polillio and his wife Faye of Stoughton, Karen Ann DeMayo and her husband Joseph of NJ and Joseph Polillio and his wife Julia of NJ. Survived also by his 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Derek. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the last of 13 siblings.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 6 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
