Anthony Lee, 79, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Sunday, May 5. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Samms) Lee. Born in Boston, he was raised in Mattapan and educated in Boston schools. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1962. Mr. Lee was a Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a plumber for Local 51 in East Providence, formerly Local 276 in Brockton for 50 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 200 in Stoughton and the Elks in Randolph. An avid Boston sports fan, he also enjoyed lunch at Doyle's and playing Keno.
Mr. Lee is survived by his daughters, Lynne Clayton and her husband Geoffrey of Vermont and Janet A. Lee of Braintree, as well as his grandchildren, Geoffrey W. and Allison L. Clayton and Abigale G. Jordan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Georgianna Frye. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, May 10 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM.
