Anthony P. "Tony" Caruso, 66, of Stoughton, MA, passed away unexpectedly March 23, 2014 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Tony was born in Lawrence and raised in Methuen. He was a graduate of Bridgewater State College. He was a Yeoman 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of the Vietnam War. At the time of his death, Tony was a Computer Graphics teacher at North River Collaborative School in Rockland, MA. He was a member of the Stoughton Sons of Italy, an avid golfer and was a member of Spring Valley Country Club and Walpole Country Club.
Tony was a devoted husband, step-father, grandfather and best friend. His amazing zest and joy of life will be carried on by family and friends from all walks of life. We were truly blessed to have shared the life of this incredible man.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Fran (Lazisky) Caruso, step-sons Tom Cusick and his wife Lucimara and Terry Cusick and his wife Rachel all of Amesbury; his grandchildren, Ryan, Nyco, Nikayla and Aiden Cusick all of Amesbury; his mother, Adeline (Greico) Caruso of Seabrook, NH; his brothers, Francis Caruso and his wife Marilyn of Lowell and Paul Caruso and his wife Robin of Florida and Maine.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Tony's life at Independence Harbor, 10 Narrows Rd., Assonet, MA on Thursday, April 24 from 5-9 PM. Donations in Tony's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758518, Topeka, KS 66675.
