Anne V. (Kelly) Farren, 92, a longtime resident of Readville, died November 6, 2013 at the LifeCare Center of West Bridgewater after a short period of failing heath. She was the wife of the late Joseph Farren. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Farren was a resident of Readville for over 30 years. She worked as an accountant for the Veteran's Administration in West Roxbury and Brockton for over 65 years, retiring 5 years ago. A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Farren was a longtime communicant of St. Ann's Church in Readville. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
She was the sister of Richard Kelly and his wife Nancy of Middleboro and the late James Kelly and his wife Charlotte of Centerville, Thomas Kelly and his wife Elynor of Hyde Park, Joseph Kelly, Robert Kelly and his wife Ann of Dedham and Patricia Hanlon of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and spouses including William Hanlon and his wife Kathleen of Duxbury, Kelly Hanlon of Brockton and Joseph Hanlon and his wife Laura of East Bridgewater. Cherished great aunt to many including Sarah, Rebecca and Meredythe Hanlon of Duxbury and Joseph Hanlon Jr. and Jordan Hanlon of East Bridgewater.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9:15AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton at 10:30 AM.
