Anna M. (McStowe) Tobin

Anna M. (McStowe) Tobin, 95, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was the wife of the late John R. Tobin, Jr.  Daughter of the late John and Anna (Gillis) McStowe, she was born in Boston and raised in South Boston. She was educated in Boston Schools. Anna resided in Stoughton since 1964. She was an aide at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton for over 10 years before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crossword puzzles and cross-stitching but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Anna was the mother of Thomas F. Tobin and his wife Patricia of Myrtle Beach, SC, Barbara A. Fobert of Carver, Michael J. Tobin and his late wife Kathleen of Stoughton, Kenneth J. Tobin of Laredo, TX and the late John R. Tobin, III and his late wife Susan. She was the sister of Margaret “Peggy” Duddy of Florida and the late Mary Boyce and John McStowe. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 15 from 10-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna‘s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
