Anna T. (Susan) McDonough, 81, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 6 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Martin F. "Sonny" McDonough. Born in South Boston, she moved to Stoughton with her husband and 4 children in 1969 where she resided until moving to Canton in 2009. She worked for the Boston Housing Authority in South Boston in the late 1960s and 1970s. Mrs. McDonough was a devoted and loving mother who was known for her sense of humor, her kind and generous nature and her sharp mind. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, talking with her sister Dottie and brother-in-law Pat and cuddling with her Chihuahua, Ginger.
Mrs. McDonough is survived by her children, Maureen McDonough of Canton, Timothy McDonough and his wife Vicky of Stoughton, JoAnne McDonough and her fianc Mark Carroll of Randolph and Michael McDonough and his wife Beth of Palm City, FL (formerly of Lowell and Stoughton). She was the sister of Dorothy Nee of Walpole and the late Robert Susan and Joseph Susan. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Colleen McDonough of Stoughton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, November 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
