Anna B. (Farrington) Martin, a longtime resident of Easton, died Monday at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Howard Martin. Born in Canton, she was a graduate of Canton Schools. Mrs Martin was a resident of Stoughton for many years, before moving to Easton about 25 years ago. Mrs. Martin worked as a Nurse's Aide at the VA Hospital in Brockton for 20 years, retiring in 1984. She was active at Holy Cross Church in Easton and a member of the Mass. Catholic Women's Guild at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She was a religious woman who enjoyed current events, shopping and dining out.
She is survived by her daughters: Joan M. Martin of Hyannis and Karen T. Martin of Easton. She was the mother of the late Howard Martin and Elizabeth Sullivan. She was the sister of Mary Withington of N. Attleboro and the late Thomas Farrington and James Farrington.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington St., Canton on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Omitted. Donations in Anna's memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 140 Shepherd Ln., Totowa, NJ 07512. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton.
