Anna W. Borden

Anna W. (Roach) Borden, 81, a resident of Sagamore Beach, died peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, December 9 at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham. Born in Stoughton, she was raised in Sharon and was a resident of Wareham for 20 years before moving to Sagamore Beach 5 years ago. Mrs. Borden worked for H.L. Bouton in Buzzards Bay for over 25 years before retiring 11 years ago. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Borden is survived by her children, Oscar R. "Roddy" Cabral, Jr. and his wife Christine and Carol A. Macomber both of Stoughton, Valerie A. Fournier and her husband Bruce of Acushnet and Suzy A. Fearing and her husband Robert of Sagamore Beach. She was the grandmother of Brenda Cabral, Richard Macomber, Dawn DePersis, Steven Fournier, Nicole Tavares, Matthew Fournier, Jacob Fournier, Benjamin Fearing and the late Anne Cabral. She was the great grandmother of Katie McMakin, Matthew Macomber, Damien DePersis, Alyssa Griswold and Rose Fournier. She was the sister of Edward Roach and Walter "Joe" Roach, III both of Sharon and the late Frances Childs. She is also survived by her former husband, Arthur E. Borden, Jr. of FL.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, December 14 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held prior from 9-11 AM. Burial will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
