Ann (Pappas) Yaitanes, 93, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Brockton Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Yaitanes. Daughter of the late George and Vasiliki (Tjouanis) Pappas, she was born and raised in Brockton. Ann was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1943. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1945. Mrs. Yaitanes was an executive secretary at Park Surgical in Stoughton for many years before working at Natick Surgical until her retirement at age 66. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan who also enjoyed reading, playing board games, music and singing but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Ann is survived by her sons, Fred Yaitanes and his wife Nadine Israel of Stoughton, George Yaitanes and his wife Carol of Melbourne, FL and Dennis Yaitanes and his wife Janet of Taunton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Friday, January 25 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Brockton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
