Anita B. (Curran) Ceven, 85, died Saturday, January 10, at the home of her daughter, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Albert B. Ceven. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Roxbury and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Ceven was a resident of Stoughton for 49 years and was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her family. She was a member of the Trinity Church Shufflers Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Paul F. "Woody" Ceven and his wife Judy of Brockton, Anita L. Ceven-Leonard and her husband Lee Leonard of Byfield, Albert J. Ceven and his wife Lynda of East Taunton, Robert J. Ceven and his wife Flora of Wrentham, James T. Ceven and his wife Pauline of Dighton and Barbara J. Cloney and her husband Patrick of Medfield. Sister of Richard Curran of Hyde Park, James Curran of Reading, Catherine "Kay" Cleary of Quincy, Helen Mahan of Springfield and the late Jeanette Ginnetty, Mary Sinnott, Margaret Henri, Gertrude O'Toole and Andrew, John and Brendan Curran. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 14, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday, January 13, from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in her memory may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, 70 Walnut Street, Suite 301, Wellesley, MA 02481.
