Angus J. Campbell, 92, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Tuesday, January 2, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Campbell worked as a machinist for Brookfield Engineering in Stoughton for many years. He retired several years ago. Mr. Campbell was an animal lover who enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels in his yard. He was a practical joker who enjoyed gags and all gadgets.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his nieces and nephews: Bonnie Bittner and her husband Chuck, Sandy Cobb and her husband Tom all of Stoughton, Laurel Gillespie and her husband Gordon of PA, Richard Gillespie and his wife Annie of Wrentham and Deedra McFadden of MS. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Ranald and Murray Campbell, Jane Gillespie and Virginia Smith.
Funeral Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 5 at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours prior to service from 11 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
