Angelo F. Braga, 70, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of 47 years of Fernanda (Salema) Braga. Born on the island of Santa Maria in the Azores, Portugal, he was raised and educated on Santa Maria. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to East Bridgewater 15 years ago. He recently moved to Canton. Mr. Braga worked in the Maintenance Department of Keith Properties in Canton and Stoughton for many years, retiring several years ago. He was a dedicated and beloved father and grandfather who enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching wrestling on TV and vacationing with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Braga is survived by his three loving daughters; Diane M. Carreiro and her husband John of Plainville, Pamela Braga-Andrade and her husband Kenneth Andrade of Bridgewater and Jessica Braga of Fall River. He was the grandfather of Kaylah Andrade, Nathan Leite, Jarrid Carreiro, Myla Leite, Michael Andrade and Jayden Carreiro. Angelo was the brother of Maria B. Braga, Ana M. Barbosa, Juvenalia B. Amaral, Antonio F. Braga, Manuel F. Braga and Luis B. Braga all of Rhode Island, Aida B. Arruda, Jose A Braga, John F. Braga and Emilia F. Faria all of Seekonk, Francisco Braga and Carlos B. "Charlie" Braga both of Rehoboth. James F. Braga of Ohio, Emilia F. Faria of Massachusetts and the late Rev. Jose Bairos Braga S.C.J. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Saturday, July 27 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
