Angelina "Ann" (Bonanno) Bruno of Stoughton, formerly of South Boston, died Sunday July 31 at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. She was 92. Born in Boston on November 3, 1918, Mrs. Bruno was the daughter of the late John and Rosalia (Alongi) Bonanno and was raised and educated in South Boston. She retired from Stone and Webster as a Xerox Operator after 20 years of dedicated service and was a former member of the Ladies L Street Bathhouse. Mrs. Bruno enjoyed exercising, watching television, especially the Food Chanel, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bruno also loved animals, especially dogs.
Mrs. Bruno is survived by her three children, John S. Bruno of Stoughton, Josephine A. Obelsky and her husband Sheldon of Stoughton and Joseph V. Bruno of Bourne. She was the sister of Leo Bonanno of Framingham and the late Josephine Ministeri, Grace Moccio, Yolanda Blakeman and Mary Druyetis.
Her funeral will be from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, August 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Burial will be private. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to New England Sinai Hospital, 150 York St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
