Anelia A. (Wasilewich) Hamilton, 86, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, April 30, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a sudden stroke. She was the wife of 65 years of Dana T. "Bonsey" Hamilton. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mrs. Hamilton worked as a Nurses Aide at the Blue Hills Nursing Home in Stoughton for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling and collecting teddybears.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Dana T. Hamilton Jr. of FL, John J. of Stoughton, William of Easton and David of Southboro. She was the sister of the late Stephanie Samatowicz, Anna Moss, Julia Valas, Bronie Valas and Stanley Wasilewich. She is also survived by her cousins Sr. Julia & Sr. Loretta of Our Lady of Sorrows Convent in Brockton and many other cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Thursday, May 4 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Donations in Anelia's name may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, at the above address or to the charity of your own choice. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
