Andrew C. Mosher

Andrew C. Mosher, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Newton Wellesley Hospital on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of 44 years of the late Mary I. "Marie" (Saia) Mosher. Born in Manhattan, NY, he was a graduate of Newtown High School in Queens, NY. He was a resident of Stoughton for 44 years after living in Avon for several years. Mr. Mosher served in the U.S. Navy for over 27 years and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He was the Commanding Officer of the USS Luiseno, ATF 156 and was Veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Andrew then worked as a Senior Special Agent at Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company in Boston until retiring in 1987.
Mr. Mosher was the adored and beloved father of Andrea M. Fierimonte of Northboro, Brian V. Nickerson and his wife April of Medford, Vincent J. "Jimmy" Nickerson of Florida and the late Raymond V. Nickerson. He is also survived by his loving son-in-law, Fernando Fierimonte and his loving grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew and Alec Fierimonte and Austin Nickerson. He was the brother of the late Richard Mosher.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, July 31 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, Avon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, in lieu of flowers donations in Andrew's memory may be made to the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N. Randolph St., Suite 225, Arlington, VA 22203.
