Andrea Koelzer Sullivan, 71, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Brockton, MA, passed away on January 18, 2019 in Boerne, TX after a long illness. She was the wife of Samuel H. Sullivan for 48 years. Daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian Koelzer, she was born in Portland, MI on December 11, 1946. She graduated from Providence High School in San Antonio in 1965 and received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Incarnate Word University, San Antonio, in 1969. Andrea worked as a nurse for a number of Healthcare organizations including Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, and St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. She was a Vietnam Era veteran and served in the Army Nurse Corps.
Andrea is preceded in death by her eldest son, Gregory Michael Sullivan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Brian Joseph Sullivan and his wife Jennifer (Caskin) and Michael David Sullivan and his wife Darcey (Caulfield) all of San Antonio, TX and her daughter, Christine Marie Wujcik and her husband Aaron of Holbrook, MA. Andrea leaves four beloved grandchildren, Colin, Lyndsey, and Chloe Sullivan and Gregory Wujcik. She was the sister of Phyllis Wick and her husband Steven of Belton, TX and Michael Koelzer and his wife Bernice of Powhatan, VA. She was the sister-in-law of Gerald and Margaret "Peg" Sullivan of Canton and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
San Antonio services will be held on February 1, 2019 with a funeral mass celebrated by Bishop Michael Pfeifer OMI at The Oblate Madonna Residence, 5722 Blanco Rd., San Antonio, TX on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
Massachusetts services will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 10-11 AM followed by Funeral Prayers at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
