Anastasia E. "Nancy" (Balukonis) Yankauskas

Anastasia E. "Nancy" (Balukonis) Yankauskas, 93, a resident of Cornerstone in Milford, died peacefully at Milford Regional Medical Center on Saturday, August 17, 2019. She was the wife of the late Jeremiah T. Yankauskas. Daughter of the late Vincent and Marcella (Papsis) Balukonis, she was born and raised in South Boston. Nancy was a resident of Hyde Park for over 20 years before moving to Sharon in 1975. She resided in Sharon until 2015 before moving to Cornerstone in Milford. Nancy was a Nurse's Aide at Parkwell Nursing Home in Hyde Park for 20 years before retiring over 30 years ago. She enjoyed reading, music, dining out and trips to Castle Island and casinos, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Nancy was the mother of Jerry S. Yankauskas and his wife Eunice DeSilva of Plymouth, Nancy A. Byrne and her husband Ed Cawthorne of Stow, Marcel Perella and her husband Michael of N. Easton and the late Mary Jean Whalen and her surviving husband, Joseph of Easton. She was the grandmother of Jennifer Carney, Susan Falcon, Kara Walsh, Julie Flynn, Kellie Yankauskas, Michael Perella and Marc Winter. She was the sister of the late Mary Whitkens, Adelle Wilbur, John Balukonis and Vincent Balukonis. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Wednesday, August 21 from 9:30-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Anastasia's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
