Ana Blau

Ana (Morariu) Blau, 84, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. She was the wife of the late Ernest Blau. Born in Romania, she was raised and educated in Romania. Mrs. Blau came to the United States in 1967 and settled in Brookline, where she lived for 18 years. She also lived in Stoughton for 5 years and Marietta, GA for 20 years, before moving to Sharon 2 years ago. She worked in the Meat Department at Star Market in Boston's Back Bay for over 25 years, retiring at age 62. She was a member of the Sharon Council on Aging and the Sharon Community Center. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, needlepoint, cooking, word puzzles and picking flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was the mother of Olga Csiszar and her husband Lorand of GA, Joseph Blau and his wife Ashley Martineau of Sharon and the late Veronica. She was the grandmother of Gabriela Csiszar, Justin, Alex and Kristian Blau. She was the sister of Viorica Morariu and Aurel Morariu both of Romania and the late Sandu Morariu, Margaret Paics and Sylvia Morariu. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, July 20, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 10:30AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Ana's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472
