Amanda T. Powers, 40, a resident of Avon, died peacefully at Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Daughter of Priscilla M. (Hayward) Powers of Derry, NH and the late Francis E. Powers, she was born and raised in Stoughton. She was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1997. Amanda was a resident of Avon for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at Ellis-Haven Campground in Plymouth.
In addition to her mother, Amanda is survived by her sons, Andrew, Matthew, Aiden, Ryan and Louis. She was the longtime companion of Lou Cook of Rockland. She was the sister of Frank E. Powers and his wife Nicole of Norton and Rebecca L. DiFlaminies and her husband James of Derry, NH. She is also survived by her grandmother, Patricia A. Powers of Stoughton and 2 nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 17 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amanda's memory may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
