Alma B. (Bryant) Campbell Coakley, 78, died at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton on Saturday, February 3 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Coakley and Howard Campbell. Born and educated in Fayetteville, NC, she lived in Norton in recent years after living in Carver for many years and Florida. She was a liquor taster for the former Mr. Boston Liquors in Boston for 20 years before retiring 25 years ago. Mrs. Campbell Coakley also co-owned the Country Kitchen in Carver with her husband Howard for a short time. She was a member of the Carver Democratic Committee and Carver Council on Aging.

Mrs. Campbell Coakley is survived by her children, Janet L. Richardi and John W. Tess both of Norton and Howard W. Tess, Jr. of Japan and her sister, Uretha L. Meeks of Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bertie Maguire and her brothers, Jesse Bryant, Alston Bryant and Anglous Bryant. She is also survived by her former husband, Howard W. Tess of VA as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, February 7 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Alma's name may be made to Alzheimer's Assn., Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
