Alice Freitas Vieira

Alice Freitas Vieira, 92, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a brief period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Angelo F. Vieira. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she moved to the United States in 1971 and settled in Stoughton. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Vieira was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and sewing.
She is survived by her three sons; Mario A. and his wife Noemia, Jose L. and his wife Doreen and Victor M. and his wife Dawn all of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late Maria F. Sousa and Ana F. Silva. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 7, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
