Alice M. (Levy) Shackleton, 80, a longtime resident of Brockton, died at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton on Monday, September 14, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John D. Shackleton, Jr. Born in Brockton, she resided in Taunton for several years before residing in Brockton for over 20 years. Alice was a homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Mrs. Shackleton is survived by her sons, Michael L. Shackleton and his wife Cynthia of Mansfield, John D. Shackleton, III of Marshfield and Kenneth A. Shackleton of Brockton, as well as her grandsons, Matthew and Joshua. She was the sister of the late Arthur Southland and Sally Hall. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, September 18 at 7:30 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 5-7:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
