Alice M. Pedro

Alice M. (Hudson) Pedro, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was the wife of the late Manuel M. Pedro. Daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Jordan) Hudson. She was born and raised in Jamaica Plain and was a resident of Stoughton for the past 52 years. Alice was a Crossing Guard for the Town of Stoughton for over 15 years before retiring in 1985.  She was a CCD teacher with Immaculate Conception Church and coached youth softball in Stoughton for several years. Alice was an avid Boston sports fan and was a friend of Bill W. for 38 years. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family & friends and treasured all of her family photos.

Alice was the loving mother of William J. Pedro and his wife Jean of Quincy, Donna M. Pedro of Stoughton and Carol A. Ramsey and her husband John of Middleboro. She was the cherished grandmother “Buma” of Christine and Kevin Pedro and Caitlyn Ramsey. Alice is survived by her sister Lillian Faust of East Bridgewater and her brothers William Hudson of Virginia and James Hudson of Florida. She is predeceased by her siblings Robert, Ronald, Richard, Henry, Paul, Kenneth and Jean Hudson, Gertrude Gabree and Barbara Chace. Alice is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her best friend Bev Doherty.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, November 9 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice‘s memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
