Alice M. Genoter, 71, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, after a short illness. Daughter of the late Joseph G. and Helen (Chapas) Genoter, she was born, raised and educated in Dorchester. She was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School, Class of 1962. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1961. Ms. Genoter worked for Faxon International Library in Westwood as a Sales Representative for over 20 years. Following that, she worked as a Home Health Aide. She enjoyed ceramics, floral arranging, cake decorating, working in her garden and spending time with her family and her cats.
Alice was the sister of the late Joseph G. Genoter, Jr. and Richard P. Genoter. She was the sister-in-law of Barbara Genoter of Westford. Alice was the aunt of Michelle McKelvie, Christopher Genoter, Gregory Genoter and Daniel Genoter. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
