Alice Y. (Charest) DeCosta, 65, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was the wife of Edward J. DeCosta. Daughter of Doris M. (Daudelin) Charest of Florida and the late Paul V. Charest, she was born and raised in Milford. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School and Milford High School, Class of 1968. Alice was a resident of Sandwich for over 20 years and has resided in Stoughton for the past 2 years. She was a homemaker. She loved gardening, going to Craigville Beach, cooking and especially hosting family gatherings.
In addition to her husband and mother, Alice is survived by her children, Karen T. Timm and her husband Ronald of Centerville, Carolyn M. Parker and her husband Kevin of Randolph, Radina A. Williamson and her husband Thomas and Cheryl P. Guzman and her husband Isaac all of Florida, Amybeth Silva and her husband Brian of Taunton and Alex DeCosta Torres of South Carolina. She was the grandmother of Victoria, Gabriella, Xavier, Lilly, Ronnie, Cody, Magnolia, Paisley, Keane, Maxwell, Sophia and Vincent and great-grandmother of Xavier and Riley. She was the sister of Denise Donahue of Florida, Jeffrey Charest of Rhode Island, Michelle Atcheson of Marstons Mills, Edward Charest of Peabody and the late Reyne Demir. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Grace Church, 101 Wales Ave., Avon on Saturday, May 2 from 11:30 AM ? 1 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Alice's memory may be made to American Diabetes Assn., PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
