Alice M. (Stevens) Cronin, 80, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of 62 years of William J. Cronin. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Brookline. She was a resident of Brookline for 40 years, before moving to Stoughton 37 years ago. She worked as a Bank Teller for BayBank, Fleet Bank and Bank of America in Stoughton for many years, retiring over 20 years ago.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cronin was the mother of Donna M. Genovese and Carolann Jacobs both of Stoughton, Robert W. Cronin of Norton and the late Michael R. Cronin. Mrs. Cronin was the sister of Robert Stevens of S. Yarmouth. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 24 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
