Alfred J. "Bud" Tremblay, passed away peacefully at age 90, Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of 58 years to Joan M. (Kenney) Tremblay from Provincetown. Born and raised in Arlington, he attended Arlington Schools.

Mr. Tremblay was a WWII veteran, joining the U.S. Coast Guard in 1945 at age 17, serving in the Pacific Theater as a Seaman First Class. Following honorable discharge from military service, he graduated from the Television Workshop in New York City and began his career as a broadcast technician in Cincinnati, Ohio. Later working as a cameraman for WHDH in Boston which became Channel 5 WCVB in Needham for a combined 42 years and was a proud member of the IBEW Union until his retirement at age 72.

Mr. Tremblay was a longtime resident of Stoughton, a dedicated family man, a beloved father and grandfather who adored his time with family. In his free time, he enjoyed taking cruises with his wife and traveled to many exotic destinations around the world, spending time at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and working around his yard.

In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by his children; John C. Tremblay and his wife Cheryl of Lancaster, Suzanne T. Miller and her husband Christopher of Stoughton and Dianne Lewis and her fiancé Randy Tangaro of Searsport, ME. He was the grandfather of Monique and Danielle Tremblay, Nicole Parker, Ian, Amanda and Nicholas Miller and the late Eric Miller. He was predeceased by his 10 brothers and sisters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, April 17, from 5-8 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather for a short visitation at Farley Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18, at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
