Alfred J. Kemp, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly Friday, December 7, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Claire M. (Kelley) Kemp. Born in Randolph, he was a graduate of Stoughton Schools, Class of 1936. He worked as Machinist for Brookfield Engineering in Stoughton for many years, retiring at age 75. A skilled carpenter, he built his own home many years ago. In his free time, Mr. Kemp was a car enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Alfred R. Kemp of Abington, Judith Spinola of NY and Terrance P. Kemp of Mansfield. He was the brother of Fred Kemp of CA, Robert Kemp of MI and the late Marion Wahl. He is also survived 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 10 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-6 PM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
