Albert R. Manson

Albert R. Manson, 95, a resident of Peabody, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 16, 2024. He was the husband of the late Carolyn R. (Boggs) Manson. Son of the late William G. and Elizabeth A. (Elliott) Manson, he was born in Woburn and educated in Wilmington. Al was a graduate of Northeastern University and earned his Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University. He was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He resided in Stoughton for 50 years before moving to Peabody several years ago. Al was an education manager at Honeywell Information Systems in Wellesley Hills for 20 years before retiring in 1989. He also taught computer science at Northeastern University for 37 years. He was a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Al is survived by his son Steven G. Manson of Newburyport, daughter Cheryl L. Manson of Leesburg, VA and his grandchildren, Gregory Manson and Elizabeth Manson. He was the brother of Lorraine E. Allen of Salem, the late George E. Manson and the late E. Lois Manson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, November 25 from 10-11 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
