Albert A. Green, Jr. of South Easton, a Veteran, formerly of Roslindale, died on Monday December 15, 2008 at The Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood at the age of 69 due to complications of Lewy Body Syndrome, a derivative of Parkinson's Disease. Son of the late Albert A. and Rose A. (Bernazzani) Green. Devoted Father of Anthony F. Green and Kristen R. Green of Cohasset. Loving brother of Kenneth F. Green of West Roxbury and the late Dorothy R. (Green) Jablonsky, formerly of Pocasset. Dear uncle of Katherine B. (Green) DiMino of Douglas.
Mr. Green's formative years were spent in Roslindale. He was a member of Troop #7 Boy Scouts of America and attainted the level of Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Boston College High School (1958) and Northeastern University (1962). After graduation Mr. Green enlisted in the US Navy, entered the Naval Officer's Training Academy in Newport RI and graduated as an Ensign (1963). He served on the USS Charles H. Roan DD-853 and the Aircraft Carrier USS America, rose to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and was discharged in 1965. After discharge, he worked for The Foxborough Company for two years and then worked for several years in the Financial Services and Insurance Fields. In 1973 Mr. Green opened his own business, Smoke Restoration Services Company. In 1974 he Incorporated Smoke Restoration Services Company with the Easton Dry Cleaners both of which he owned and operated until closing them due to his illness in 1998. He was a member of the Easton Rotary Club for many years. Mr. Green was the owner of a year round camp located on Twichell Pond in Loch Mills, Maine where he pursued his hobbies of skiing, bicycling, camping and mountain hiking until his illness prevented him from participating.
Mr. Green's family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Cherrywood Floor Staff of The Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood for their dedication to him and the excellent daily care he received for the past six years. Funeral and Cremation Services were private.
