Albert N. "Albie" DiStefano, Jr., 55, died Monday, September 14 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Carol L. (Connor) DiStefano. Born in Brockton, he was a lifetime resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1972. Mr. DiStefano was the owner of Reliable Window and Siding in Canton for many years. He was very active as a baseball coach for Stoughton Little League and Stoughton Babe Ruth Baseball. He was a longtime social member of the American Legion in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed sports and spending time on his boat the "Fine & You."
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Albert N. DiStefano of FL, Jeanna M. DiStefano, Robert N. DiStefano, and Julio A. "Jay" DiStefano all of Stoughton. He was the son of Albert N. DiStefano of Stoughton and the late Anna (Venuto) DiStefano. He was the brother of Deborah McNeill, Anthony DiStefano and James F. DiStefano all of Stoughton, Dorinda Doherty of Easton and the late Donna M. DiStefano. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Saturday, September 19 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Friday from 4-8. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Albie's name may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 1660 L Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20036.
