Albert F. Collett, Jr., 63, a resident of Easton, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, May 10. He was the husband of Gail L. (Wade) Collett. Son of the late Albert F. and Barbara E. (Blum) Collett, he was born in Boston. He was educated in Boston and Stoughton schools and graduated from Stoughton High School. Mr. Collett was a resident of Easton for the past 14 years after living in Stoughton for over 30 years. He was the owner and mechanic of Al's Auto Repair in Stoughton for 25 years before retiring in 2002. He was a Past President of Stoughton Lions Club and in his free time he enjoyed camping with his family, playing baseball and softball and skiing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Collett is survived by his children, Kelly Savard and her husband Gary of Lakeville, Michael D. Collett and Stephan A. Collett both of Easton and the late Barbara Collett. He was the grandfather of Mikala Dacey and Nicholas Savard. He was the brother of Mary Collett Alholm of Boston, formerly of Easton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 14 at 9:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM.
