Albert John Budrick, 90, of Raynham, MA, passed away peacefully at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton on January 2, 2019 after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. (Cohenno) Budrick. Son of the late Alfons and Ida (Katchinowski) Budrick, he was born in Providence, RI and raised in Stoughton. Albert was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1946. He was a Sergeant in U.S. Army and a Veteran of the Korean War, earning a Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars for his service. He lived in Stoughton for over 30 years before moving with his wife to Wildwood, FL for 30 years. He resided in Raynham for the past 2 years. Albert was a Postal Clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Stoughton for over 20 years before retiring at age 55. He was an active member of the First Parish Universalist Church in Stoughton and while in Wildwood, he was an active member of the United Methodist Church where he volunteered with the Food Pantry. Albert was a member of the American Legion in Raynham. He enjoyed watching classic movies in his free time.
Albert is survived by his five children, Linda Costello of Sedona, AZ, Alan Budrick of Taunton, MA, Bruce Budrick and his wife Toni of Phillipston, MA, Brenda Neagle and her husband Brian of Raynham, MA and Alison Budrick of Stuart, FL. He was the grandfather of Andy Costello, Sean Costello, Chrissy Tenney, Jacqueline Tenney, Hannah Budrick and Zachariah Budrick and the great-grandfather of Liliana Laudicina and Joseph Lawless. He was the brother of the late Siegfried Budrick and Alfreda Kozun and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 7 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's memory may be made to the DAV-Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301(www.dav.org).
