Albert W. Batte, Jr., 66, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully with his family by his side at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, January 22. Son of the late Albert W. and Jennie (Rubeski) Batte, he was born and raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1964. He lived in Ocala, FL for over 10 years before returning to Stoughton 10 years ago. Mr. Batte was a sales representative in Ocala and a customer service representative for Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Quincy for the past 10 years. An avid sports fan, he also refereed high school and college basketball in the Ocala area.

Mr. Batte is survived by his aunts, Virginia "Fudgy" Batte, Clelia Urciuoli and Helen Rubeski and his cousin, Dennis Johnson and his wife Donna, their daughter Kristen and her family, and their son Kevin as well as many other cousins.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's memory may be sent to the William A. Batte Memorial Scholarship, c/o Stoughton High School, 232 Pearl St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
