Agnes M. (Meyer) Letourneau, 90, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Texas Presbyterian Center in Allen, TX on Wednesday, July 3. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Letourneau. Born and raised in Norwood, she was educated in Norwood schools. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 64 years. Mrs. Letourneau was a weaver for Stoughton Elastic Web and Garland Mills for over 20 years before retiring 26 years ago. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton, a member of the Red Hat Society and was active with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, cake decorating, reading traveling to Texas to visit her family and playing cards with her grandchildren. She excelled at roller skating as a young woman.
Mrs. Letourneau is survived by her children, Donna M. Matthews and Diana L. Fisher both of Texas, Arthur Letourneau and his wife Cindy and David A. Letourneau all of Stoughton. One of 26 siblings, she is survived by her sister, Mary O'Malley of Walpole, Judy Curran of Norwood and Barbara Dwyer of Walpole. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, July 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
